又到父親節了，
中國慶祝父親節
一般是在六月的第三個星期天，
但是你知道嗎？
並不是全世界都在這一天慶祝哦。
More than 90 countries all over the world celebrate Father’s Day in the third Sunday in June including United States， United Kingdom， Canada， France， China， Japan and Vietnam。
全世界有超過90個國家在六月的第三個週日慶祝父親節，包括：美國，英國，加拿大，法國，中國，日本，越南等。
The attempt of establishing Father’s Day had failed for several time until the American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart’s daughter Sonora Smart Dodd proposed the idea。
其實設立父親節的建議之前提出過很多次，但是都失敗了，直到美國南北戰爭老兵William Jackson Smart的女兒 Sonora Smart Dodd提出該建議。
At first， she suggested June 5， her father’s birthday， but the pastors（牧師） didn’t have enough time to prepare their sermons， so the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday in June。 Dodd stopped promoting the celebration in 1920s because she was studying at the Art Institute of Chicago。 In the 1930s， she returned to promote the celebration again and raise its awareness at a national level。
起初，她是提議將6月5日定為父親節，但是牧師們並沒有足夠的時間來準備佈道，於是推遲到了6月的第三個週日，20世紀20年代Sonora Smart Dodd因為要繼續在芝加哥藝術學院的深造，停止了父親節建立的推廣。到30年代，她重新開始為之努力，並使得這一節日在全國有了知名度。
However， it was until 1972 when President Richard Nixon signed it into law that the day was made a permanent national holiday。 Before that， the attempt to formally recognize the holiday had been defeated by congress for many time out of the reason that the holiday would be commercialized。
不過該節日的官方認證經歷了多次失敗，因官方擔心其會變得商業化；直到1972年，尼克松總統將其寫進法律，成為一個永久的國家節日。
但是對於部分中國人來說，習慣把8月8日定為父親節，因為諧音“爸爸”。
Some Chinese people like Taiwanese celebrate Father’s Day in August 8th for the date is the homophone for the word “Papa” in Chinese。
畫風還有點不一樣的就是德國啦！
In Germany， people take the fortieth day after Easter as Father’s Day。 At the beginning， it was the day for celebrating that Jesus Christ left the earth and went to the heaven。 Gradually the day became Men’s Day and then turned to the Father’s Day。
德國人將耶穌復活後的第40天定為父親節。起初，這只是一個慶祝耶穌飛天的日子。慢慢地，這天成了男人們的狂歡日，後經演變成為父親節啦。（大概是在一天，父親們可以重回自己的單身時光，不用管孩子管工作，盡情放鬆狂歡。）
It is worth mentioning that not only fathers but also single men would celebrate the day like drinking beer and having barbecue。
值得一提的是，很多單身男青年也在這一天慶祝，（畢竟德國人是不會放過任何一個可以狂歡的日子），如喝啤酒吃燒烤！
