《The Hare and the Tortoise》

透過龜兔賽跑的故事，告訴學生做事情要明確目標，腳踏實地。

Hare said to Tortoise，“I‘m so much bigger and better than you。”

兔子對烏龜說：“我比你要大很多，而且比你強很多。”

Tortoise said，“Bigger doesn’t always mean better。”

烏龜卻說：“越大的不代表就越好。”

They both said，“Let‘s have a race。”

他們倆一致說：“那讓我們來比試一下吧。”聽到這個訊息之後，所有的小動物們都來參看這場比賽 了。

Hare thought he was so much better than Tortoise that he gave him a head start。

兔子認為它比烏龜要好太多了，它給了烏龜一個領先的優勢，所以在比賽的開頭，兔子讓烏龜先跑。

Hare ran past Tortoise。 Slow coach！

結果，兔子不一會兒就跑過了烏龜。還嘲笑烏龜說：“遲鈍的東西。”

Hare had time to eat。 Hare had time to play。

兔子還有時間 吃東西。還有時間玩耍。

Hare had time to snooze。。。 He fell asleep among the cabbages。 Tortoise slowly plodded past。

吃完玩兒完之後，兔子還有時間打了個盹。它在捲心菜堆裡睡著了。烏龜慢慢地經過了兔子身邊。

Whem Hare woke up， Tortoise had almost won！

當兔子醒來的時候，烏龜幾乎就要贏了。

Hare hopped fast， but he couldn’t catch up。

兔子跳起來跑得飛快，但是它並沒有能趕上。

Everyone cheered as Tortoise won。 Slow and steady wins the race！

烏龜贏了，大家都歡呼起來。烏龜慢吞吞地說：“穩和慢則會獲勝。”
