I think if you have to win one Grand Prix with Ferrari it’s the Italian Grand Prix，” he said。 “From the beginning of the week it’s been absolutely crazy， I came here with my first win， and to win straight away the second one here in front of all the fans that have welcomed me extremely well after the first victory， is just unbelievable。 I did a few mistakes， but at the end I finished first， so- very happy with this。 But I need to be careful with the mistakes， obviously none of them made me lose position today。 No words to describe it， I’ve never imagined， I’ve never dreamed of something like this before。 It’s above everything I’ve ever imagined in my career to have such a podium。 It was extremely difficult， ［the Mercedes］ were very quick， they were quicker than us， I think， today。 More than that， they had two cars to fight us， so one car went long – Valtteri went a bit longer – Lewis pitted more or less at the same time as me。 So it was very difficult for us after that， but we managed the race very well and I’m very happy to take the home win – the win home。“

Obviously I’m not happy with it。
I can’t be happy with my day today。 We had a good start， nowhere to go， lost the position ［to Hulkenberg］， got it back， reconnected to the cars ahead and then lost the rear and couldn’t catch it。
I struggled a couple of times to get the car going， I struggled to get in the right direction as well， so I couldn’t see ［Stroll］。 So simple as that， but obviously not happy， and after that the race was obviously gone。”

［Vettel］ came back on the circuit very aggressively and even at the speed I was going there was just nothing I could really do。 I tried to avoid him by going to the left but he just kept moving forward and eventually we made contact so it was really dangerous。 I mean I could have just hit him square in the side and that would have been pretty nasty so I tried everything I could to avoid him， but I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time。 It’s a real shame because he had made a super stat and was running comfortably in seventh place at the time。 He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time。”

I’m not unhappy。 Of course I don’t like to go backwards， but he did a fantastic job today。 I put on as much pressure as I could。 We had a couple of close moments， I think we can probably talk about it in private together， but there’s nothing major， and we continue to race。 I’m looking forward to more races together。”
