英語中有四大特殊句型：強調句、倒裝句、虛擬語氣和獨立主格。

中文中透過語氣強調句子的重點，英文中透過句型強調重點，即It is/was +

強調部分

+that/who+其他部分

例如正常陳述我們明天在大廳開會：We will have a meeting in the hall tomorrow。

強調我們：It is

us

that/who will have a meeting in the hall tomorrow。

強調會議：It is

a meeting

that we will have in the hall tomorrow。

強調大廳：It is

in the hall

that we will have a meeting tomorrow。

強調明天：It is

tomorrow

that we will have a meeting in the hall。

只有強調的時候是人的時候可以用that或who，其餘只能用that。

在英語考試中，有些選擇題會考察強調句型。判斷是否是強調句型的技巧是，把It is/was和that/who去掉，剩下的部分可以組成完整的句子，則為強調句型，適用It is/was +

強調部分

+that/who+其他部分結構。

如下題：

1。It is the ability to do the job______ matters， not where you come from or what you are。

A。 which B。 that C。 what D。 who

分析：看到it is 開頭，先驗證是否是強調句型。去掉it is 和填空部分，剩下的為“ the ability to do the job matters， not where you come from or what you are”是個完整的句子，可以判斷此為強調句型，只能選that或who，只有強調人可以用who，此句強調的是ability，因此用that，選B。

強調句型和普通陳述句的轉換應用：

分析：驗證強調句型，去掉it was和that後，剩下的成分轉化為完整的句子：Little Jim wrote the letter very carefully，因此選B：It ；carefully。
