查理的巧克力工廠2

hello大家好我是胖菲，因為這個坑開的太大了（章節很多，拆分成段落就更多了，線上卑微中），所以我不得不在開頭標一下序號，萬一大家又想重新讀一遍的呢（雖然我知道醒了還是一場夢）

In the summertime， this wasn’t too bad， but in the winter， freezing cold draughts（穿堂風） blew across the floor all night long， and it was awful。

夏天還好，但是到了冬天，凍人的穿堂風整夜吹著地板，簡直糟透了！

注意這個draught這個詞很容易跟別人撞詞，一不小心就認錯了，但是不要害怕，胖菲我最擅長的就是辯詞和記詞，（有點尷尬），drought這個詞是旱災的意思，而我們經常看到的daughter是女兒的意思哦！

There wasn’t any question of them being able to buy a better house – or even one more bed to sleep in。 They were far too poor for that。

他們沒有辦法買更好的房子，或者再多買一張床，他們實在是太窮啦！這裡的第一句話其實不好理解，但是其實整體閱讀的意思是不影響的，我們只要理解到他們家窮就行了！

那大家可以猜一下，下面作者要寫啥！對啊，要論述他們家是如何的窮對吧，前面說了全家整體的窮，那接下來就要挨個突破，分別說說家庭成員有多窮了！

Mr Bucket was the only person in the family with a job。 He worked in a toothpaste factory， where he sat all day long at a bench and screwed （擰）the little caps on to the tops of the tubes of toothpaste after the tubes （管）had been filled。

布克特先生（也是娃他爸）英文名字隨便看看好了，是這個家唯一有工作的人，他在牙膏廠工作，每天坐在凳子上把裝滿牙膏的管子蓋上蓋子。

But a toothpaste cap-screwer is never paid very much money， and poor Mr Bucket， however hard he worked， and however fast he screwed on the caps， was never able to make enough to buy one half of the things that so large a family needed。

牙膏工人薪水不高，不管老布怎麼努力，不管他擰蓋子擰的多麼快，他掙的連他們家花銷的一半都付不起。（中年男人的心酸和不易啊）

There wasn’t even enough money to buy proper food for them all。 The only meals they could afford were bread and margarine（人造黃油） for breakfast， boiled potatoes and cabbage for lunch， and cabbage soup for supper。

沒有錢買足夠的食物，他們早餐只能吃麵包和人造黃油，午餐只能吃煮土豆和白菜，晚上吃白菜湯。（太難了，作者留下來感傷的眼淚，成大事的娃童年都是艱苦的）

Sundays were a bit better。 They all looked forward to （盼望）Sundays because then， although they had exactly the same。

他們期盼星期天的到來，雖然也和平常差不了多少，但總歸好一些。
