A is as...as B不同級比較就是 A is more than B

C5T1P1 Johnson’s DictionaryDr Samuel Johnson, the very model of an eighteenth-century literary man,

as famous as in his own time as is ours,

should have published his Dictionary at the very beginning of the heyday of the middle class。 Johnson has become more well known since his death。 A is as。。。as B。 A is more than B。就是FALSE了。

原文:C10T1P3 The Psychology of InnovationTeamwork taps into one of the basic drivers of human behaviour。 ‘The principle of social proof is so pervasive that we don’t even recognise it,‘ says Cialdini。

'If your project is being resisted, for example, by a group of veteran employees, ask another old-timer to speak up for it.'

Cialdini is not alone in advocating this strategy。

Research shows that peer power, used horizontally not vertically, is much more powerful than any boss's speech.

題目:A manager’s approval of an idea is more persuasive than that of a colleague。 最後一句話交代了peer power(同齡人的影響力)比boss’s speech(領導的話)更大。說明是colleagues(老前輩也是同事)的說服力會比manager(經理,也就是boss)的大。原文是A is more than B。 B is more than A了。就是FALSE。

題目:C11T3P2 Great MigrationsAn arctic tern(北極燕鷗), on its 20。000 km flight from the extreme south of South America to the

Arctic circle, will take no notice of a nice smelly herring(鯡魚)

offered from a bird-watcher’s boat along the way。

While local gulls will dive voraciously(狼吞虎嚥第) for such handouts(施捨物,暗指鯡魚), the tern flies on.

Why? The arctic tern resits distraction。。。題目:Local gulls and migrating arctic terns behave in the same way when offered food。

C6T2P3 NumerationIntermixed with the development of a number sense is the development of an ability to count。

Counting is not directly related to the formation of a number concept because it is possible to count by matching the items being counted against a group of pebbles, grains of corn, or the counter's fingers..

題目:Early peoples found it easier to count by using their fingers rather than a group of pebbles。 C11T2P3 NeuroaestheticsIt‘s still early days for the field of neuroaesthetics - and these studies are probably only a taste of what is to come。 It would, however, be foolish to reduce art appreciation to a set of scientific laws。 We shouldn’t underestimate the importance of the style of a particular artist, their place in history and the artistic environment of their time。 Abstract art offers both a challenge and the freedom to play with different interpretations。 In some ways, it‘s not so different to science, where we are constantly looking for systems and decoding meaning so that we can view and appreciate the world in a new way。題目:It is easier to find meaning in the field of science than in that of art。答案:NOT GIVEN
