最近三番兩次用到put forward這個短語，令我感慨這麼良心的短語，字母少用處多，不分享一下真心可惜了，相信很多童鞋已經是日常在用了。

這個詞的第一個意思是“提出建議，計劃，意見，提案，要求等”。

比如：Thanks for putting forward a number of suggestions in the meeting。 （感謝您在會議中提出了好些建議。）

第二個意思是“提名，推薦”。

比如：We will make the final selection of candidates to put forward within 5 working days in the hopes that we can pick the right person as soon as possible。

我們會在5個工作日內對候選人作最後一輪篩選用於提名給你，希望能儘快選出合適的人選。

比如：Michael and Susan are the names we would like to put forward as the possible managers。 （Michael和Susan是我們想提名的備選經理候選人。）

第三個意思是“提前。。。”。

比如The meeting has been put forward to 2pm。 Please attend on time。 （會議提前到下午兩點，請準時參加。）

還有另外三兩個用法，但能記住這三個就很划算啦。
